2020 Summer Online Zoom group classes and play-along opportunities:

Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California Violin Play-In, Thursdays evenings and Friday mornings. Times are Pacific time zone. Free for Suzuki Book 1-2 students. This will be playing the pieces in each Suzuki Book as a group. The teacher will be unmuted, and students will be muted. Students will play along with the teacher on the songs they know, listen to the songs you haven’t learned yet. The teacher leads each song at different speeds, and students can request songs at the end. Suzuki Association of Greater Washington Area (SAGWA) Play Downs, Mondays in June at 6pm (Eastern Time) on Zoom. Free. For Suzuki Book 1-4 students, classes are offered by book level. This will be playing the pieces in each Suzuki Book as a group. The teacher will be unmuted, and students will be muted. Students will play along with the teacher on the songs they know, listen to the songs you haven’t learned yet. https://sagwa.org/events

Suzuki Hub (Britain). Play Alongs, Free Mondays at 5pm (British Time) on Zoom. For Suzuki Books 1-8 students. This will be playing the pieces in each Suzuki Book as a group. The teacher will be unmuted, and students will be muted. Suzuki Violin Group Class is an important part of learning to play the violin using the Suzuki philosophy of learning. Group classes give students the opportunity to make music together, learning ensemble and performance skills. Both students and parents will be a part of a supportive Suzuki community.

Laura Tagawa and Michelle Abraham teach Suzuki Violin Group Class twice a month on Friday afternoons at Camden Khalsa Montessori School (3244 E. Camden Street). The classes are open to all students currently studying with a Suzuki teacher. All music is played by memory and parent attendance is required.
